The much anticipated 2023 Ibadan cultural festival has kicked off on Sunday, 23rd April with a special church service and prayer session at Christ Life Church, Olaogun, in an atmosphere indicating readiness by all Ibadan indigenes to pursue the development of the land in love and unity.

The Ibadan team led by the President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes CCII, the umbrella body of over 200 social and cultural clubs of Ibadan Sons and Daughters in and outside Nigeria, Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga, other executive members of the CCII, Engr. Sunday Gbenjo, Chairman of the cultural festival committee, Secretary of the committee, Chief Adeola Oloko, other committee members, Presidents and secretaries of some clubs and other Ibadan Indigenes worshipped at the church to commit the weeklong programme into the hand of God.

They danced ,sang and prayed for a peaceful festival in a progressive and prosperous ibadanland.

The train left the church for the Olubadan palace where the paramount ruler, Oba Dr. Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II showered royal blessings on the PG Adeaga led team , wishing them an exemplary outing.

They were later treated to a lavish Ibadan delicacy of Amala, ewedu, gbegiri and assorted meat by the palace kitchen.
