Ibadan Mega Voice Launches Second Anniversary with Market Clean-Up Drive, Praises Oyo Commissioner for Environment, Mogbonjubola and Iyaloja of Ibadanland, Ameringun for exemplary services

As part of its second-anniversary celebrations, Ibadan Mega Voice kicked off with a clean-up and community awareness campaign, spanning from Bere to Molete markets. The event, held in partnership with Ibadan joint traders association under the leadership of Chief Mrs Iswat Abiola Ameringun and  supported by the Oyo State Ministry of Environment, Water, and Natural Resources,  aimed to promote cleanliness in Ibadan’s bustling market areas.

The clean-up was graced by Honorable Mojeed Mogbonjubola (Jagaban), the Oyo State Commissioner for Environment, Water, and Natural Resources, Aare Kola Olomide, President of Ibadan Mega Voice, and Iyaloja Ameringun. Together, they led a team that engaged market women and traders, stressing the importance of keeping their environments clean.

Hon. Mogbonjubola spoke passionately to the traders, encouraging them to adopt regular cleaning routines as part of their lives, aligning with the saying, "cleanliness is next to Godliness"

Alhaja Ameringu  echoed this, urging all present to keep their market spaces and surroundings clean to foster a healthier Ibadan.

Aare Kola Olomide, speaking on behalf of Ibadan Mega Voice, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner and his team for their support, acknowledging that their presence underscored the importance of the campaign. He also lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for appointing a Commissioner who has been proactive in driving environmental progress across Oyo State.

This clean-up day from Bere to Molete has set a positive tone for the rest of Ibadan Mega Voice’s anniversary events, reflecting the organization’s commitment to a cleaner, healthier Ibadan community, Olomide added

Among other activities lined up for IMV second anniversary celebrations are Free Medical Outreach on Tuesday 12th November at New Gbagi Market,  Donation to Charity Homes, Sports Competition, Free Digital Marketing Skills Training for Ibadan Youths, Church Service, Jumat Service, Workshop for Professional Broadcasters and Grand Finale on Sunday 24th November at Ibadan House, Oke Aremo, Ibadan
