Ibadan Mega Voice, an association of Ibadan Indigenes in media business, supported
by the Nigeria Medical Association (Oyo State Chapter) on Wednesday organized a one-day free medical outreach aimed at improving healthy living among the residents of Ibadan.

The event which was held at Mapo Hall, Ibadan featured free tests of blood sugar level, blood pressure, Hepatitis, general body checkups, and other supplementary exercises.

According to the IMV President, Mr. Kola Olomide:” the outreach is one of the IMV’s first anniversary programmes that was meant to provide sustainable healthcare access to all residents of Ibadan.

Olomide emphasized that various trained medical practitioners, healthcare professionals from Nigeria medical association (Oyo state Chapter) were on ground to provide free medical services to the needy which included men, women, youths, elderly, expectant mothers among others.

“The main purpose for the outreach is to touch lives by providing basic health education for patients to take control of their health and to offer free healthcare consultation services with free medicines to those who cannot afford routine general medical check-ups or treatment,” Olomide said.
